Dr. Tsai joined DelSolar in 2008 as Senior Vice President of Technology. Dr. Tsai has more than 20 years working experience in the fields of technology and management.
Prior to joining DelSolar, Dr. Tsai worked for the Delta Electronics group more than eleven years. There, he has established the RF/Microwave & Fiber Optic Business Unit, and was BU head in charge of sales & marketing and RD departments, where under his leadership more than 40 patents were granted. During that time, Delta’s Fiber Optic Transceiver product had No.1 market shares in Japan FTTH market. Dr. Tsai was also responsible for the development of wireless products such as WiMAX and 802.11abgn WLAN.
Before returning to Taiwan, Dr. Tsai worked for the Raytheon (Anschuetz) GmbH in Germany, where he developed ship-loaded ARPA radar for searching, guiding and tracking purposes.
Dr. Tsai received his Dr.-Ing. degree in Electronics Engineering from Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg, Germany. He was a researcher at the Institut fuer Hochfrequenztechnik and has published 12 papers in IEEE Journal. He graduated from Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, and received a scholarship of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Bonn, Germany. |
